Dr Elizabeth Wieczorek---  aka Dr W.

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Wieczorek was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio (Slavic Village). At a young age, Elizabeth's mother saw her exhibiting a passion for animals and concern for their well-being. This started her off early in the profession: shadowing and volunteering for shelters and animal hospitals. Prior to completing her undergraduate studies, Elizabeth earned her Registered Veterinary Technician degree/certificate at Cuyahoga Community College, with hopes of pursuing her DVM.  In 2007, she moved to Columbus to complete her undergraduate studies while working full time. In 2012, Elizabeth was accepted into The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated in 2016 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State.

After veterinary school, she commuted between Cleveland and Columbus.  In Columbus, she was a facility veterinarian for a private cardiovascular research laboratory, and worked with world-renowned veterinary and human cardiologists and specialists! On the weekends up in Cleveland, she worked as a family veterinarian at a Maple Heights hospital... a place she previously worked as an RVT.  With only being an occasional general practitioner, Elizabeth began to miss the client interaction and human animal bond; it was time to return to the "Comeback City" after being gone nearly 10 years.  Welcome back Dr E.!!

In addition to her effervescent personality, Elizabeth brings her interest in animal behavior, internal medicine, and ultrasound (specifically cardiac/heart scans).  Elizabeth shares her new home here with three cats (Recoo, Rossette, and Eve) and her beautiful Doberman (seen here), Novella.  When not at work, she enjoys playing darts, traveling, rediscovering Cleveland, and rooting on her beloved Cleveland sports teams (and of coarse--The Ohio State) !!
